Simplistically eerie sounds are the primary genetic makeup of this mostly unknown, to me, act that has now come to be represented by the highly acclaimed Malignant label. Sparse, yet harsh, bewildering and yet somehow soothing, oppressive and yet it never completely overwhelms the listener in a manner of needing to escape its grasp. Verily, this act and album succeeds in transporting the listener back to a more golden era of lo-fi power electronics and noise. Wonderful and macabre stuff, this.

I'm so happy seeing mortaur come back after all these years, it's like a nightmare come true. The approach of the artist also matured throughout the years from hellish visions of Horror Vacui to a more vague, yet strong in it's presence, and I dare say - philosophical in some aspects "Life Without Life". It's strange, it's colourful in texture, and I for one, love it. One of my favorite ambient releases of the year.
